MUD UP RIDDIM produced by SKENDON ALL STARS (199X 20XX)
Mud Up Overview
Mud Up Riddim first appeared in Jamaica in 1990 and quickly became a favorite in dancehall circles. As soon as it hit the dance floor, the energy was clear. The riddim brought together some of the biggest names in dancehall at the time, each adding their own style. Ninjaman delivers "Gimme Pass," showing the tough and sharp delivery that made him famous. Ninjaman is known for his powerful performances and his role as a top deejay in the late 1980s and 1990s. Sanchez, known for his smooth singing voice and hits like "Loneliness," brings emotion to "Cherish Your Love." Red Dragon, a respected deejay with a long career, adds "X Amount" to the mix. Captain Barkey performs "Bleach On," adding humor and energy. Cutty Ranks, who later gained international fame with songs like "The Stopper," gives a strong performance on "Dominate." Each artist uses the riddim in their own way, but together they create a classic dancehall sound. The riddim was produced by SKENDON ALL STARS (199X 20XX), a group known for building hard-hitting dancehall tracks in the late 1980s and 1990s. Their work on Mud Up Riddim helped shape the sound of that era and influenced many later producers. Mud Up Riddim is now seen as a touchstone of dancehall culture from 1990. Its lasting impact comes from the combination of top artists and the strong production behind it. The riddim still gets played and remembered by fans today.
