Mojito Riddim – Mr Roots

Luni Spark And Electrify sets the tone on Mojito Riddim with “Inna Mi Glass, ” a cheeky soca cut that leans into carnival energy without rushing the groove, and that gives Mr Roots’ 2012 production its first real flash. From there the riddim keeps circling the same party-drink lane with Muddy’s “Whole Day, ” Nekoyan’s “Miss The Plane, ” Sheldon Douglas’ “Ah Feel To, ” Terror Kid’s “Stressfree, ” and Brother B’s “Drinkin Time, ” each voice sliding over a bright, fizzy backdrop that feels made for road march season. The lineup isn’t packed with marquee names, but Terror Kid’s tune in particular has a little extra pull, with a more direct hook and a sharper bounce than the rest.
