2017 was a busy year for soca riddims, and Small Change sat right in that wave of compact, hook-driven Trinidad productions. Optimus Productions keeps it lean here: just two vocal cuts and the instrumental, with Jamesy P’s “Mouth Badman” bringing the cheeky party chatter and Kenna T’s “In She Nature” leaning into a sweeter, more playful turn. The riddim itself feels bright and waist-friendly rather than overcrowded, with enough bounce to carry both personalities without losing its shape. That last instrumental track is more than a throwaway, too; it lets the arrangement breathe and shows how tightly the project was cut, which is exactly the point on a three-track soca release like this.
