Found Her Riddim – Militant Muzik

Found Her Riddim keeps its focus on roots voices and a warm, devotional feel, with Militant Muzik lining up seven cuts around the same 2007 groove. Luciano’s “Lead Not” feels like the anchor here, the kind of stern, uplift-heavy chant Militant often seemed to gravitate toward, and it sits nicely beside Bushman’s “Zion” and Lutan Fyah’s “Crown Him. ” Munga’s title track and Norris Man’s “Always Love You” push the set a little softer without losing the consciousness that runs through it, while Jah Mason and Kaykay keep the message broad enough for love songs and praise songs to live side by side. It’s a compact session, just seven tracks, but the sequence has a nice pull to it, and that Bosstune tag on Munga’s “Found Her” lingers like a little clue.
