Militant Muzik’s 2007 catalogue gets a fuller shake here, with Youths And Youths Riddim folding together a bigger cast than the related Found Her set and giving the label’s roots output a proper showcase. The lineup leans heavy on conscious voices and seasoned chanters — Bushman, Jah Mason, Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Glen Washington, Jack Radics and Sizzla all turn up — and the cuts circle around uplift, endurance and love rather than anything flashy. Bushman’s “Zion” and Luciano’s “Lead Not” sit neatly beside Lutan Fyah’s “Crown Him, ” while the Luciano and Munga pairing on “Youths and Youths” adds a little extra weight to the title idea.
