Back in 2007, a fresh dancehall sound started to bubble up from the studio. The beat was built by VINYL SHOTZ PRODUCTION, a producer known for sharp, modern riddims. The track builder worked late nights, mixing drum patterns and basslines that would get people moving. Once the yard beat was ready, the team brought in some top artists. Kanjia stepped up first with “Give It To Me,” riding the riddim with a catchy hook. Mr Vegas, already famous for his international hit “Heads High,” brought his own fire with “We Nah Waan.” Sadiki joined in with “Take Over The Floor,” adding a smooth, melodic style that fit the riddim perfectly. The whole project came together as the “DINNER RIDDIM” by VINYL SHOTZ PRODUCTION. DJs loved the mix and kept spinning it at parties and street dances.
