Conscious Energy Riddim – Elite Ent Society Music

2015 was a year when roots-minded reggae producers were leaning hard into meditative, Nyabinghi-tinged arrangements, and Conscious Energy Riddim sits right in that pocket. Elite Ent Society Music keeps the cut sparse and warm, with drums, guitar, soft bass and a light wash of synths giving the whole thing a calm, reflective pulse rather than a heavy one. Anthony B’s “Without Your Love” is the most immediate pull here, while Teflon’s “Africa” and I Knowledge’s “Feel The Pain” keep the message centered on love, identity and survival. Dycr’s “Sateva” adds a little edge in the middle, but the mood never breaks from that prayerful, late-night feel, and Harmony closes it out neatly with “Yes I, ” which leaves the riddim feeling complete rather than crowded.
