BUSH KASH RIDDIM produced by VINYL SHOTZ 2007
Bush Kash Overview
In 2007, dancehall music was moving fast with new sounds and fresh talent. Selectors and fans were looking for the next big riddim, and VINYL SHOTZ delivered with the “Bush Kash Riddim.” VINYL SHOTZ, known for sharp production and energetic beats, helped shape the dancehall sound in the mid-2000s. Their work on this riddim brought together both rising and established artists. Aidonia, who was gaining attention for his lyrical style, voiced “Reload.” By this time, Aidonia was already making waves in dancehall with songs like “Eagle” and collaborations with other top artists. Blacker brought his own fire with the track “Teck Off Something.” Hollow Point, another recognized name from the scene, added his energy to the riddim with “Jump Up.” Sean Paul, one of Jamaica’s biggest stars, joined the project with “All Out.” Sean Paul had already reached international fame with hits like “Get Busy” and his Grammy-winning album “Dutty Rock.” The group Tok, known for their harmonies and songs like “Footprints,” delivered “Runaway” on the riddim. The “Bush Kash Riddim” also featured VINYL SHOTZ’s own version, showing off their production skills. Another standout on the riddim was Vybz Kartel with “Wine Pon U.” Together, these tracks made the riddim a selector’s favorite and a memorable part of dancehall’s 2007 story.
