Bad People Riddim arrived in 2010 under Genious Productions, the camp tied to Stephen McGregor’s Di Genius sound, and it sits right in that period when dancehall juggling was still moving fast and the big names were all trying to stamp their own personality on the same rhythm. The set pulls in heavyweight voices and keeps the energy street-level: Aidonia turns in the title cut with his sharp, no-nonsense attack, Beenie Man brings his veteran swagger on Run Mi Down, and Busy Signal attacks the rhythm twice, first with Bigger Heads and again on the looser, flirtier Gyal A Whine.

The rhythm itself has that clipped, percussive early-2010s pulse: hard kick, tight snare pressure, and enough space for the artists to ride it with different moods without ever losing momentum. It feels tense and aggressive, but not muddy, which is exactly why it works for both gangsta talk and party chunes.
