Christopher Campbell was born in March of 1973 in Trenchtown & Arnett Gardens of Kingston Jamaica. Growing up, he was inspired by Bob Marley who was his hometown hero. At the age of 10, he hung around recording studios and started recording later on his teens although his records never drew much attention. Campbell would sit under a tree to write his own songs. At the age of 22 he began recording singles in some of Kingston’s most popular studios. These included Leggo, Black Scorpio and Celestial Sounds Studio.  During the mid-nineties, he polished his writing skills and he went on to record “Love and Affection” at Buju Banton’s Cellbock Studion. He also recorded “Ever-living Soul” and “Congo Shanty” at Celestial Sounds Studio.  Cordel Burrel assisted Campbell in releasing his major hits during this time when he released “Hold Onto You Faith”, “Bad road” and “Persistence” all on the “Persistence” album. Campbell performed these hits at Sting in 1998 and the performance made a huge impact on his career.
