Don Pree

Kemar Francis was born on 19 October 1990 in Kingston, Jamaica and he grew up in Grants Pen Community. While attending Jamaica College High School, Francis started his musical journey and he was 16 at that time. Francis had a passion for football and he was nicknamed Zidane. He discovered his love for music when he participated in lyrical battles with his schoolmates. When he was in fourth form, his classmates and teachers named him Don because of his take control attitude in school and extra-curricular activities. The ‘Pree’ was added to his name after he left school because of his special attention to detail. His uncle introduced him to Magnum Force Entertainment in 2009 and he recorded his first song “Holding On”. This was followed by a series of hit singles such as “Oh Yea”, “Bring Your Love”, “Hotsteppa”, “Take You Home”, “All About The Paper” and many others. Francis also performed live at Reggae Fever Stage Show in Ocho Rios. In 2019, Francis participated in the freestyle session hosted by Chris Satta which then went viral. This attracted producers and promoters within and beyond borders and they began contacting him. Some of his hit songs include “Take Over”, “Money Remedy”, “Top Boss” among others.
