In 2009, the Mikaelas Groove Riddim brought together modern reggae artists and classic one drop rhythms. The one drop drum pattern, a key part of reggae’s roots, is at the center of this riddim. Bad Wolf Records, the producer behind the project, is known for blending traditional reggae sounds with new talent. The label has worked with both emerging and established artists, and their releases are often praised for quality production and strong reggae vibes. Iceman added a modern touch with "Dreaming About You," and One Third, winners of the Digicel Rising Stars competition in 2006, contributed "Baby Boo." Together, these artists and Bad Wolf Records created a riddim that kept reggae’s roots strong while reaching new listeners in 2009.
