World Voice Riddim – Prince Villa Records

Prince Villa Records had this one moving with a compact seven-track dancehall set, and the best moments come from the way Jah Mason’s “Our Time” and Nitty Kutchie’s “Smile” sit inside a brisk, no-frills groove that leaves plenty of room for the vocals. Dotta Coppa’s “Trust Me” and Ras Goudie’s “From Yu Gone” add some of the sharper turns here, while Almidon’s “Opportunist” keeps the energy up on a riddim that leans lean and straight to the point rather than overloading the mix. Released in 2016, World Voice Riddim runs six artist cuts plus the instrumental, with Prince Villa closing it out on the final 6: 02 version.
