Sanchez and Lanz do most of the heavy lifting on Summer Breeze Riddim, and that’s a good place to start because both cuts give the set some real shape: Sanchez’s “How Could They Know” leans into the kind of clean, emotional singjay style he’s long been known for, while Lanz’s “Woii” comes in twice, with a radio edit sitting alongside the full version. Drop Di Bass Records keeps the riddim moving at a brisk 90 BPM, which gives the whole package a bright, summery swing without softening the drum pattern too much. Little Hero, Rasta Life and Symatic round out the voice pool, with Symatic getting two versions of “Pedro Cay” in the sequence as well. Released in February 2018, the set runs 13 tracks deep and includes 11 different artists.
