Virtue Riddim – Leelo

Nine cuts, eight voices, and a tidy split between straight radio-friendly tunes and the harder-edged “raw” version of Projexx’s “Patience” make Virtue Riddim feel like a producer who knew exactly how far to push the idea. Leelo kept the cast lean and varied, moving from D’East’s “Mama’S Boy” into D’Yani’s “Labour Day, ” then letting Gyptian’s “Thinking About You” bring a smoother, more melodic touch in the middle of the sequence. The release landed in December 2018 and was issued through Leelo Records, which fits the polished, late-2010s dancehall sheen here. What really tells the story is the track order: the vocalists are stacked to alternate moods rather than hammer one feel, so the riddim stays active without losing shape.
