Rvssian keeps Head Concussion Records in its wheelhouse with Story Book Riddim, a 2025 dancehall set that arrived as a digital release and sits squarely in the producer’s long-running run of sharp, radio-ready Jamaican riddims. The label behind it is Head Concussion Records, the Kingston imprint Rvssian launched in 2007, and the release is licensed through 21st Hapilos. Rvssian, born Tarik Johnston, came up as one of dancehall’s most reliable hitmakers, first breaking wide with Vybz Kartel and later working across dancehall and Latin pop without losing his Jamaican core.

The riddim itself has that modern Head Concussion snap: lean drums, a hard low end, and a melodically catchy swing that leaves room for deejays to ride the pocket rather than fight the beat. It feels built for juggling, with enough space between the kick and the vocal to let personalities cut through. There is an instrumental in circulation as part of the package, which helps underline how much the rhythm line does the heavy lifting.

The voice list is strong, mixing established names and fresher cuts. Vybz Kartel and Rvssian anchor the rollout with Story Book, while Dexta Daps brings his smooth, melodic singjay style to One Favor. Blak Ryno, long known for grimy Portmore dancehall energy, adds edge on Breed. Di Genius gives Chapters a more reflective, seasoned delivery, and 1Tahly turns Coco Pops into one of the set’s more playful moments. Don Creety x Rvssian on House Corner adds extra studio chemistry, while Echo Dan, Gaza Indu, Jehie, Bellical, Deco Shazam and Dainjah keep the juggling alive across the rest of the project.
