Two Face Overview
Back in 2008, the party scene in Jamaica was full of energy. The Two Face Riddim was a big part of this. It was produced by TJ RECORDS, a label well-known for working with many popular dancehall and reggae artists. TJ RECORDS is also known for hits like “Ramping Shop” and has helped shape modern dancehall. DJs loved mixing songs on the Two Face Riddim because it blended well with both reggae and dancehall, and sometimes even picked up hints of soca at parties. This made it easy to play alongside music from different genres, keeping the crowd moving all night. Each artist brought their own style to the riddim. Demarco’s “Sort Dem Out” had his signature catchy flow—Demarco is famous for other hits like “Fallen Soldiers.” Vybz Kartel gave fans “Dandy Shandy,” showing his lyrical skills. Kartel later became one of dancehall’s most streamed artists worldwide. Alaine’s song “Love” added a softer touch with her smooth vocals. Chino performed “We A Burn Dem,” giving a confident delivery that fit the riddim’s vibe. Voicemail energized crowds with “We Nah Par.” Spice’s “Best Kitty Inna Di World” stood out with her bold lyrics, while Beenie Man’s “Since Him Dis” gave another strong performance—Beenie Man is known as the “King of Dancehall.” The sound engineer made sure every track was clear and powerful, allowing each song to shine on its own within the mix.
