Train Line Riddim – One Tree Records

Train Line comes in rugged and purposeful, a rootsy 2018 One Tree Records set that circles crime, pressure and survival without losing its easy swing. Busy Signal and Mr Diamond’s “Won’t Stop Now” is the name most listeners will lock onto, but the deeper cut is how the project gives plenty of room to Linstead voices like Ancient Warrior, Firenie, Dee Queen and Don G, whose “We Need A Change” lands with real weight. Omar “Bobo Omar” Phillips had already been active under the One Tree banner for years, and this one feels tied to that more community-minded side of the catalogue, the kind of release built to spotlight local talent while still pulling in a bigger voice when the moment calls for it.
