High Seas Riddim – Aquagem

If you’re after a small but neatly drawn roots set, High Seas Riddim keeps the focus tight with just three cuts and no wasted motion. Aquagem put it out in 2018, and the whole thing hangs around the same 90 BPM pocket, which gives the riddim a steady, rolling feel rather than a rush. Chris Demontague opens with “Everyone Falls In Love, ” K Kay steps in on “Perilous Times” with Tim Starr adding extra lift, and Ted Ganung closes the circle with the title cut. That sequencing matters, because it reads less like a loose compilation and more like a producer’s statement of intent: one rhythm, three voices, each track placed to carry the same current a little differently.
