Inspiration Riddim (2018) – Adigun Productions

Inspiration Riddim comes off like a thoughtful, mid-tempo reggae set with a devotional streak running through it, the kind of riddim that leaves room for the singers to lean into gratitude, pressure, faith, and perseverance without crowding the mix. Adigun Productions keeps the focus on the voices here, and the lineup does a lot of the heavy lifting: Thamara’s “My Inspiration, ” Valene’s “Never Give Up, ” and Renegad’s “Reverence and Prayer” all sit naturally beside tougher turns from Memzay, Kardi Tivali, and Kester Brooks. It’s a fairly expansive cut, with 17 tracks in all, including an instrumental version at the close. That sequencing feels deliberate, letting the songs move from reflection to uplift before Adigun signs off with the riddim itself.
