Apollo Riddim (2018) – Dub Inc.

Dub Inc were already known for making one-riddim sets with a more song-led, rootsy feel, and Apollo Riddim follows that line while leaning into a sharper modern dancehall pulse. Built around the instrumental “Triste Époque, ” the project pairs that cut with four vocal versions, and the strongest moments come from the contrast: Capleton’s “Wake Up” brings real fire to the riddim’s skanking backbone, while Agent Sasco’s “Too Much” rides it with a tighter, more clipped flow. Chino and Million Stylez each add their own color too, keeping the EP from feeling like a one-note exercise. Released in May 2018, it arrived as Dub Inc’s fourth one-riddim project, after No Doubt, Better Run, and They Want, which says a lot about how comfortably they’d settled into this format by then.
