David Star Riddim keeps it lean and rootsy, with just two voices circling the same 2019 cut: Afrikan Simba’s “Incarceration” and Shaka Black’s “Plenty Mouth. ” Creation Muzik leaves plenty of room for each tune to breathe, and that space suits Afrikan Simba especially well, his militant chant riding the rhythm with real authority while Shaka Black comes at it with a sharper, more talkative edge.
