TIXX / BLAZE RIDDIM produced by CJ RECORDS 2000 (GREENSLEEVES RHYTHM ALBUM #10)
Tixx / Blaze Overview
When the Tixx / Blaze Riddim dropped in 2000, dancehall fans quickly embraced it at bashment parties. The energy of the riddim brought crowds to life, and its club-ready sound made it a favorite on the dancefloor. Even today, people remember how this project kept parties moving all night. Admiral Bailey made a strong impact with “Nuh Dash Way Yuh Pickney.” Known for his earlier hit “Big Belly Man” in the late 1980s, Admiral Bailey brought his signature style to the riddim. Alozade’s “More Woman” added a playful vibe, showing why he was a rising name in dancehall at the time. Beenie Man, one of Jamaica’s most celebrated artists and a Grammy Award winner, delivered “Straight Prison,” bringing his unique flow and presence to the project. Bushman’s “Call Me” stood out with his roots-influenced delivery, while Danny English kept the momentum going with “One Two.” Each artist brought something special, making the riddim memorable for different reasons. The riddim was produced by CJ RECORDS and released on the Greensleeves Rhythm Album series. CJ RECORDS is known for shaping the sound of early 2000s dancehall, working with many big names and helping to launch several hit riddims. Their influence can still be felt in dancehall culture today. Fans continue to talk about this bashment classic from 2000.
