The Ruler Riddim – The Worthington Project

Nine cuts deep, The Ruler Riddim lines up a nice mix of voices, with Freddie McGregor’s “Love For One Another” bringing the veteran weight while Chino, Lutan Fyah and Voicemail push the more modern edge of the set. The Worthington Project keeps the groove in that early-2000s reggae pocket, warm and steady rather than flashy, so the singers have room to lean into the hooky titles and conscious themes without getting buried in the arrangement. Fiona’s “Im The Ruler” and Perfect’s “No Alien” add a little extra character to the sequence, and Jah Mason’s “So Much Of Your Loving” sits comfortably in the middle of it all.
