Yard Vybz Entertainment’s Supa Charge Riddim sits right in that 2007 dancehall run where the big voices and the rowdier young guns were all chasing the same spare, hard-edged rhythm. Buju Banton’s “Instigate” and Mavado’s “Dutty Gun” with Mykal Rose give it real weight, while Elephant Man and Demarco’s “Our World” keeps the energy up and Munga’s “Real And Cold” leans into the grittier side of the cut. There’s also a nice old-school touch with Mega Banton turning up on “Beat It, ” which helps the whole thing feel less like a throwaway juggling and more like a snapshot of the era.
