    Space-age energy. Space Dem Riddim came through in May 2021 as an Outfytt Records and I. W. A. A. D Music production, with a 12-track dancehall spread that leans into sharp, riding-the-pocket deejay cuts rather than any heavy concept trickery. Beenie Man’s “Pum Pum Story” sets the tone early, while J. A. Outlaw’s “Gas Pedal” and the trio cut “Bubble Up” with Banging, Ras Ajai and Rod Pinnok keep the tempo moving with that cheeky, street-level bounce. The project also gives room to Mr Lexx and Jahfrican on “NEWS, ” plus Harry Toddler and Expensive on “Space, ” but the release really locks in around the veteran weight of General B on “Nuh More Than Me, ” one of those joints that gives the whole juggling a little extra bite.
