The beat leans on a spare, martial pulse rather than flash, with the vocal cuts doing the heavy lifting: Carey Akustiks’ “Legal Alien” opens with a sharp one-drop of attitude, Jam P’s “Active” with Jay Centzz pushes the energy up a notch, and Redempshon’s “How We Roll” has the kind of rough-edged confidence that suits the riddim best.
