Slow Rush Riddim – VP Records 2010
Slow Rush Overview
The Slow Rush Riddim started in the studio with a vision to blend new sounds with the classic dancehall vibe. The producer wanted to mix drill-inspired melodies with a strong Jamaican yard beat. This creative direction gave the riddim a fresh, modern edge that still felt true to dancehall roots. Andrew & Wada Blood brought their energy to "Real Rasta," showing their family’s deep roots in reggae and dancehall. Beenie Man, known worldwide as the "King of Dancehall" and famous for hits like "Who Am I," added his star power with "Sign Up." Cee Gee’s "Money" kept the vibe moving, while D'angel delivered her confident style on "Man Rush." Doctor Bird’s "Buss A Wine" added a playful touch, and Dolla Bounce teamed up with Yokie for "You Me Choose," bringing a catchy hook. Flexx, who was part of the group T.O.K., gave us "As A Galist (Clean Version)." Junior Reid, a reggae legend known for the classic "One Blood," shared wisdom on "These Street." Kibaki’s "Jah Alone" and Mitch’s "Supm Haffi Hapm" added more depth. Omari sang "No Evil," while Savage called attention to real issues with "Youth Dem Hungry." Singing Sweet’s "My Every Thing" brought romance, and Suhverto’s "Real Soldier" showed strength. Versatile hyped up the dance with "Girls Rush." The instrumental version, "Slow Rush Riddim Instrumental," let the beat shine on its own.
