Past Time Paradise Riddim, also known as Gangster’s Paradise Riddim, is a 1995 dancehall set produced by Sonic Sounds. It’s a short 4-track release with Andy Livingston’s Keep On Living, Anthony B’s Mother Of Civilization, and Ninjaman featuring Richie Stephens on My Experience, plus the riddim version. The cut with Ninjaman and Richie Stephens gives the compilation an extra edge, while Anthony B’s conscious style balances the tougher dancehall feel. Sonic Sounds was active in the mid-90s and this one fits that period’s tight, digital Jamaican sound.
