Rumble Productions’ Legend Riddim sits in that lean mid-2010s dancehall pocket where the producer lets a small, vocal-driven set do the talking. Released in 2016 and issued as a three-song digital set, it pairs Chuck Fender’s “People Crying, ” Gyptian’s smoother “All I Want, ” and Nitty Kutchie’s more devotional “In God I Trust, ” with each artist leaning into a different shade of the same rhythm. Gyptian is the most immediate name here, but Chuck Fender’s opening cut gives the project its grit, and Nitty Kutchie closes it on a firmer, rootsier note.
