Six cuts, eight voices, and a sharp little dancehall package is what Fox Fuse lined up on Slip Into Greenz Riddim, with Big Red, Kc and Scout on “Go Down, ” Jab King, Hypa 4000, Lednek, Jello and Slanga Squad filling out the rest of the set. The 2019 EP runs just 14 minutes, and that short length suits the rhythm’s clipped, party-ready feel. Fox Fuse kept the arrangement lean and direct: a hard kick-snare pattern, bright synth stabs, and a low end that sits heavy without getting muddy. “Real Boom Boom” and “Do Something Stupid” are the tracks that hang around the longest, mainly because the vocals ride the pocket cleanly and leave room for the bass to do its work. It moves at a brisk dancehall tempo, with a tight, forward push that keeps every tune aimed squarely at the floor.
