In 2014, Birmingham’s ATi Music pushed out Shankz Riddim as a modern nod to the old Shank I Sheck swing, and the roots of that idea still carry through in the cut. The riddim has that springy, mid-tempo dancehall pulse with a rough-edged bounce, leaving space for the vocals to jab through rather than drowning them in studio gloss.
