In 2012, dancehall was full of new sounds and strong rhythms. That year, selectors often chose the Rumours Riddim for its lively bashment energy. The riddim came from NECESSARY MAYHEM PRODUCTIONS, a UK-based label known for modern reggae and dancehall. The label, started by producer Curtis Lynch, has worked with both rising and established artists, helping to shape the sound of UK dancehall with releases streamed around the world. Chyna Soulstar, a singer with a soulful voice, contributed "Lord Save My Soul," giving the riddim a heartfelt touch. Demolition Man, another artist on "Lord Save My Soul," is known for blending reggae, jungle, and dancehall, and has performed across Europe.
