Million Stylez is the pull here, and on “Neva Stop” he drops into the riddim with the kind of easy authority that makes you keep tracing the rest of the set. Costa Rebel Studio frames him with a bright, skanking reggae groove that leaves room for Bobby Hustle’s “Wolaba Vibes, ” China B’s “Jah Jah, ” and the Spanish-language cuts from Jahricio and Ras Simon, so the whole thing has that cross-border feel Costa Rebel has been shaping out of San José for years. The melodoica version from ikeys adds a nice little left turn, too, almost like a dubby pause before the next chant comes in. Released in June 2017, it’s a 14-track run with no wasted space.
