Suhfar Records’ 2018 Modern Warfare Riddim leans hard into the clipped, gun-talk side of dancehall, with titles like Nuh Fraid A People, Don’t Need To Buss No Rifle, One Inna Yuh Head and Beretta Wave setting the tone before the beat even kicks in. It’s a fairly crowded 11-track set, but the voices are sharp enough to keep it moving, from Blackwall Street’s Nuh Fraid A People and Dark Glaze’s Don’t Need To Buss No Rifle to Scenatro’s Dem A Rookie and Shane O’s Rifle A Ring.
