Untitled People Riddim from Lions Flow Productions has that warm, rootsy 2017 reggae feel that sits more in a conscious corner than a flashy one, with the songs leaning into uplift and affirmation rather than big drama. Jah Marnyah’s “Life Mission” and Anthony John’s “Power Of Love” do a lot of the heavy lifting here, while Straika D’s “Guidance” keeps the focus on clear-hearted message and steady delivery. Tito’s “Chez Moi” and Yano feat. D. R. ’s “Fyah Red” add a bit more color to the set, giving the riddim a French-speaking Caribbean touch that fits the whole project nicely.
