Ram One Overview
In 1998, dancehall music was full of energy and new ideas. That year, the Ram One Riddim became a big part of the bashment scene. The producer behind this riddim was Oniel "Gotti" Ramdeen, working with Ram One Entertainment. Ramdeen’s work helped bring together different voices in dancehall, and his label became known for fresh, lively sounds. The Ram One Riddim project featured a mix of well-known and rising artists. Captain Barkey brought his strong style to the track "Been There And Done." Barkey was already famous in the dancehall world, especially for his hit "Go Go Wine" with Wickerman. Daddy Screw & Pancho teamed up for "Sexual Anthem," showing their ability to keep crowds moving. Daddy Screw is known for his work in the 1990s, including the popular song "Big Things a Gwaan." Devonte added smooth vocals to "Sleep With Me." Devonte is also known for his work with Tanto Metro, especially their hit "Everyone Falls In Love." Dukes & Tanisha delivered "Tonights The Night," bringing a duet style that fit well with the bashment vibe. Jimmy San’s "Baby Daddy" added another unique touch to the riddim. Sean Paul, who would soon become a global star, appeared with "Woman Yuh Hot." At the time, Sean Paul was just starting to get noticed, and this track helped show his talent. This bashment project was one of the highlights of 1998. Fans remember it for the late-night parties and the way it brought different artists together on one lively rhythm.
