Pure Pleasure Riddim – Yard Style Entertainment

Yard Style Entertainment was still a fresh name in 2015, and Pure Pleasure fits right into that early run with a tight, three-song dancehall set that doesn’t waste any time. The standout here is the Konshens and Javada cut, “Gal Dem Ready, ” which comes off like the obvious pull-track, while Serani’s “Knocking” leans into his smoother, more melodic side and Rico Tayla’s “Tight” keeps the energy low-slung and direct. It’s a small release, but that’s part of the appeal: no filler, just three quick swings on the same rhythm. Yard Style had launched the label that year, and Pure Pleasure was one of the first riddims carrying the imprint, arriving in the same lane as their early 2015 productions.
