Classified Riddim – Arrows Record

Three tunes, three very different angles on the same 2015 Arrows Records cut, which is exactly what makes Classified Riddim easy to get into fast. Kiprich’s “Bag A Talk” leans into the chatty side of the rhythm, all gossip and badmind energy, while Spragga Benz comes in sharper on “Slam Gal Hard, ” riding the beat with that veteran dancehall bite. Vybz Kartel’s “Weedy” is the one that lingers longest, mostly because he has a way of making even a stripped-back riddim feel loaded with attitude. Arrows kept the selection tight here, and the whole thing landed as a short digital release in late April 2015, just a quick three-track pass through modern bashment with no wasted space.
