Brace It Riddim – Yard Style Entertainment

Brace It Riddim sits in that taut, mid-tempo dancehall pocket where the bass does most of the talking and the vocals have room to jab and ride the groove. Yard Style Entertainment kept the juggling lean in 2018, with just four cuts across three artists, and the best of the bunch is probably Delly Ranx’s “Boom Pon It, ” which leans into the riddim’s firm, no-nonsense pull; Mr Vegas follows with “Move Again, ” while Jjwizzle turns up twice with the title tune in radio and full versions. It’s a compact set, but the way the voices are spaced against the same instrumental gives it a crisp, club-ready feel that never overreaches.
