Opera House Records Biography & Music Discography

Opera House Records is a Jamaican dancehall label founded by recording artist and producer Buccaneer, whose real name is Andrew Bradford. The label became active during the late 1990s and released music from several recognised dancehall artists, including Bounty Killer, Sean Paul, Vybz Kartel, Elephant Man, Tami Chynn and Buccaneer himself. Its catalogue includes projects such as the Fig Leaf, Yakusa, Barracuda and Blue Lagoon riddims. Opera House Records also played an early role in Mavado’s career, with Buccaneer credited as the first producer to record him. The label remains part of Jamaica’s dancehall history through its singles, riddim projects and work with artists from different generations.
