Nae Nae Riddim (2012) – L-G-Nae Records

Nae Nae Riddim has that tight little 2012 dancehall pulse that feels more pocket-sized than overstuffed, which is part of its charm. L-G-Nae Records keeps the arrangement lean, letting the voices do the talking, and the connection between Patexx and Delus on Best From West (Lighter) gives the set its sharpest edge, while Jahvante’s She Is In Love rides the same rhythm with a softer, more open melodic turn. Tahz and Chi Ching push things into sharper street territory on Sell Me Out, and Magano’s Pray adds a quick burst of uplift before G Nae closes the circle with the title cut. It’s a small five-track set, but it leaves enough character hanging in the air.
