Aquarion Studios keeps this one tight: just four cuts, with the instrumental opening the door before Blaka Dan, Dash and Mandella Linkz each step in with their own take on the Luau groove. Blaka Dan’s “Loyal Side Man” has the sort of playful, hooky soca energy that sticks quickly, while Dash’s “In We Place” leans into the party-side confidence you want from a Grenadian summer tune. The whole thing landed on March 30, 2018, which fits the Spice Mas run-up nicely, and at under 16 minutes it plays more like a quick burst of carnival tension than a long-form compilation. Aquarion Studios had already been active on the soca-riddim circuit, and Luau slots neatly into that run with a bright, compact pulse.
