Local Drum Overview
Local Drum Riddim came out of the Caribbean in 2018, bringing a fresh sound to the soca scene. This fete rhythm became a big part of carnival playlists that year. Freezy, known for his massive hit “Split in the Middle,” brought his style to “Bend De Banana.” Jumo Primo, who once won the St. Lucia Groovy Soca Monarch title, delivered “Doh Run.” Krazy K Di Baddest kept the dance going with “Whine Your Waist.” Other artists also joined this carnival soundtrack, but these names helped make Local Drum Riddim a must-play for fetes.
