Rootdown Records’ Let Go Riddim lands in that late-2000s European reggae space where roots pressure, lover’s-rock smoothness, and a little crossover polish all sit on the same foundation. The set pulls in Anthony B, Ginjah, Junior Kelly, Natural Black, Nosliw, plus Joy Denalane on both the solo cut and the Jah Mason duet, and that mix gives the riddim a broad accent without losing its center. “How Could I” and “Be Strong” keep the tension in the groove, while “Rise Of The Poor” and “Fools and Follies” lean into the sharper social side of the project.
