Heavy and direct, this 2007 Dragon Farm Records set leans on a spare reggae backbone and keeps the focus on the voices cutting through it. Ding Dong kicks things off with “Go Away, ” while Maestro’s “Gall” and Rudebwoy Face’s “Take The Video Light” keep the energy clipped and restless, each one pushing a different angle on the same riddim. Sizzla’s “Just Make It Better” gives the cut a steadier, more rooted pull, but the strangest and most memorable turn comes at the end, where Tony Matterhorn, Richie Feelings, Sami T and Masta Simon link up on “Genki Desu Ka” and tilt the whole thing toward a sharper, more playful finish.
