Aint No Love Riddim – Teams

TEAMS kept Aint No Love Riddim in a compact six-track run in 2007, and the selector-friendly format fits the kind of rootsy, guitar-led reggae set where the vocal cuts do most of the talking. Anthony Johnson’s “Paradise” sets the tone with a reflective edge, Lloyd Brown’s “Can’t Keep A Good Man Down” leans into that classic lovers-rooted phrasing, and Mike Brooks’ “Darker Than Blue” gives the sequence a more conscious turn. Winston Holeness closes out the vocal side with “Aint No Love, ” while King David’s instrumental “Winner” adds the dubwise breather that lets the riddim breathe a little between songs. It’s a neat little 2007 TEAMS package, more about mood and steady pacing than spectacle.
