Puppy Love Riddim – Various Artists

A small 2007 cut, but the Puppy Love Riddim still has a tidy little lineup, with Cutty’s “Sweetness” setting the tone, Jah Sun leaning into “Nothing Compares, ” and Lady Meeka’s “Trick Star” adding a sharper edge before Mr King and Terri Lions close it out on “Yuh Mudda. ” It’s a straight reggae juggling, not crowded or overworked, and that sparseness leaves plenty of room for the voices to ride the groove cleanly.
