By 2017, reggae riddims were leaning hard into clean one-drop arrangements with a sharper digital polish, and Island Love Riddim sits right in that pocket with just four cuts from Bisca, Lion, Micky Rich and ZIGGEN. Bisca’s “Love will find the way” and Lion’s “Glory” carry the set’s warm, rootsy mood, while Micky Rich’s “Arigato” adds a more personal, reflective edge over Riddim Island’s bright, uncluttered production. The whole thing runs as a short various-artists EP, issued as Island Love Riddim - Street Rebel - Vol. 1 and dated January 24, 2017, which keeps the focus tight on the songs rather than padding out the session.
