Spring Leaf Riddim – Jupita Redman

Spring Leaf Riddim is a compact 2017 reggae set from Jupita Redman, released through Big House Records and built around just three cuts: I-Yah Radikal’s Black Life, Loaded’s Living In a Mucky World, and Jupita Redman’s own instrumental. The small lineup keeps the focus tight, with the vocal songs framing the instrumental version rather than crowding it out, and the whole release runs at just about eight minutes. I-Yah Radikal and Loaded each bring a different edge to the riddim, while Redman’s instrumental cut gives the project its clean backbone and defines the release with a straightforward, rootsy feel.
